Gut Feeling

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Gut Feeling.” When’s the last time you followed your instinct despite not being sure it was the right thing to do? Did it end up being the right call?

I believe women hold a distinctive adavantage with the ability to listen and follow their instinctive inside voice better than men.

Men have heard their screaming instinctive voice yelling, don’t deep fry the turkey on the back deck, or don’t put the hot fireplace ashes in the plastic trash can inside the garage when men where little boys had to be told don’t run with scissors.

All of these are examples of gut instinct and commonsense  that are intentionally disregarded.

Usually, it is the arrival of the fire department extinguishing the deck fire, the garage fire, or as a child receiving stitches to close a 5-inch laceration to their leg.

These events are the results of not listening to the little instinctive voice, and gut instinct. However, in most cases just reading the owners manuals to avoid these catastophies will also help.

although, I have never found the owners manual for not running with succors.
