In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “A House Divided.”

Pick a divisive issue currently in the news. Write a two-part post in which you take on two personas and approach the topic from both sides. Bonus points for a creative format

This is only the second time I have written about anything other than up-beat, comical, whimsical issues on this blog. I also write articles for another blog, Tremr.com/007pandas and the daily prompt has requested a two part issue on a current topic. With so many contemporary issues of the day, it truly will be hard to choose. Yet, here I go!

In recent years, national television shows have highlighted celebrities discovering their family heritage, with some discoveries good and others not so good.

Either way, what most people fear are discovering horrible family secrets that were hidden to protect who, the adults from knowing the truth? I can understand keeping the secret from small children under 18, however upon adulthood, tell them the truth. I was always told, “The truth shall set you free.” Yet, many families keep secrets as if their family has a secret that has never been heard of before.

Now, with the above stated paragraph read, what if your research of your family history brought about the discovery of literally a horrendous family monster.

Such a discovery was made by a Black German when they discovered their grandfather was the vile Nazi commandant in charge of the concentration camp highlighted in the movie Schindler’s-List.

So the debated discussion is; Would this discovery help heal the family, or would prove to be better to keep this secret locked away for all never to know?

The link below the daily post link, provides a detailed look at the author of the up coming book detailing her discovery.
