In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Interplanet Janet.”

You get to design your own planet: tell us all about your planet — the weather, the seasons, the inhabitants.

You get to design your own “Beach Bum” Inter-planet: tell us all about your Beach Bum Planet — the weather, the seasons, the inhabitants.

Oh, yes I love the creative writing process, to design my own planet. However, I already designed and develop my own planet called “Florida Beach Bum, ” (aka FBB).

There are many detractors who claim it is an unhealthy lifestyle. The critics have never taken a Beach Bum class or read the manual. The FBB manual first and only mandatory rule is each member must exercise cumulatively one hour within a twenty-four hour period.

The list of approved minimum cardio activities are recommended:
• Walking to the bathroom
• Showering
• Eating food & drinking any beverage (AKA; Hanging-out)
• Walking
• Bicycling
• Kayaking
• Sitting in the surf

Anything and everything else is approved.

The temperature is regulated between 75-85 degrees, with a perpetual five to ten mile per-hour warm breeze. It will rain every other day between two and three in the morning. Everyday of the week is designated a Beach Bum holiday and Beach Bum season is year round.

All inhabitants have a mandate to perform leisure activities (Aka doing-nothing) for a minimum of eight to twelve hours a day. Inhabitants who maintain leisure activities of twelve and eighteen hours a day receive special gift certificates to local restaurants and happy hour locations.

Inhabitants who achieve twenty hours or more of leisure activities are kindly requested to mentor inhabitants who have trouble maintaining eight to twelve hours of leisure a day.

The rules are simple, so enjoy planet Florida Beach Bum.
