In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Idyllic beach.”
What does your ideal community look like? How is it organized, and how is community life structured? What values does the community share?
My ideal community would look like the beaches of a tropical Caribbean Island, with clear blue waters, air temperatures 75 – 85 degrees, and a warm breeze constantly blowing between 5 – 10 miles per hour.
Along the beach, retired beach bums gathering for a morning walk of 2-5 miles, while Ti-Chi. Zumba, and a Spin class continue to until 11:00 am. Afternoon retiree naps begin at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with many sleeping under palm trees.
Happy-hour begins at 2:00 pm for those who wake early from their naps. Evening organized games begin at 5:00 pm and last until 10:00 pm under the lights. Players from various organize sports stay unit closing time of the business along the beaches.
Restaurants must face the ocean, with patio seating. All business serves organic foods, juices, and of course beer, Bloody Mary’s, Hermosa Mimosa’s and Champagne Cocktails, because it is always 5:00 pm somewhere.
The community is served by employees who chose two six hour shifts from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and an eight shift 6:00 pm to 2:00 am.
The core values of the community are to enjoy yourself on the beach or to work just enough to enjoy yourself on the beach.
