How is this year shaping up so far? Write a post about your biggest challenges and achievements thus far.

As the aspiring writer, 2015 for me is traveling along word by word, sentence by sentence in the right direction.

My challenges are reading through massive amounts of information generated for aspiring writers. There are times I felt like a college student perpetually cramming for an exam.

I purchased a formidable writing program called Scrivener, and yes there is a learning curve, but its results provided focus, and detailed direction for me as a blogger and writer. Most importantly the program includes all forms of writings.

My next challenge arrives within 2 or 3 days, as I take ownership of a new Nikon 35-mm camera to begin my journey as a photographer.

A recent visit to Key West Florida earlier this month and a tour provided by an incredible local Key West painter Pam Hobbs, exposed me to the creative arts community. The tour sparked my imaginations and I see my first photo postings originating from Key West.

My summer of 2015 will include photography along with completing my first short story novel by August.

So, my fellow blogging followers stay tuned to the retirement lifestyle / nomadic adventurer blogger as my journey continues.

I bought Scrivener a few months ago and I don’t like it. Maybe because I don’t know how to use it.

Scrivener has a learning curve. Checkout the “Literature and Latte” free online line classes available on Youtube. https://youtu.be/AdwnHo23Ub8

They are available for Windows and Mac. Most importantly they are free. When I finish here, I will spend my entire day writing in Scrivener. It normally takes about thirty days of playing in scrivener to become proficient as a writer.
