“Do Not Disturb”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Do Not Disturb.”

How do you manage your online privacy? Are there certain things you won’t post in certain places? Information you’ll never share online? Or do you assume information about you is accessible anyway?

Online Privacy management is the individual’s responsibility. However, as WordPress bloggers, most of the people provide details about themselves and the creative genre of blogging they are identified with.

Personally, I limit detail information like my shoe size to prevent someone from purchasing me some new sandals. I refused to provide the type of Trek Road Bicycle I desire, and I would never pass on my personal information like the Nikon D7100 35-mm camera I wish to purchase. I’m simply petrified many people want to buy me things, when I know they need to save for their families, friends and blogging neighbors.

I know how easy it is for someone to access my Amazon wish-list account and discover I would love the “Deuter, ” ACT Lite, 75+10, Back Pack for long distance hikes. But I would discourage anyone from accessing the list and sending me the items around Christmas.

Yes, I assume theres lots of information about me on the internet, but, I ask if you are going to use my personal information against me, please send me a prompt that you have registered me for the up coming Miami Literary Book Festival this fall.

You see, when it’s all said and done, I get what I want and the privacy thief gets what they want.

PS: Don’t disturb me with the boring detail of the Amazon tracking information, they will alert me.
