Humans have very strong scent memory. Tell us about a smell that transports you.

Scented Memories can instantly transport thoughts of pleasant happy times. As I sit typing this blog post, I smell the aroma of a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel at The Coffee Plantation.

My memories of a cinnamon raisin bagel before school, a bakery in Bad Kissingen West Germany, spreading butter across a slice of cinnamon raisin bread, flood my mind all because of the aroma of a toasting cinnamon raisin bagel at the Coffee Plantation in Key West Florida. Making use of this moment easily brings memories of good times associated with incredible loving thoughts.

I hope all your scented aroma memories are tied to loving thoughts and memories bringing a smile to your face. If you are ever in the Key West Neighborhood, try the Coffee Plantation’s original house blends organic coffee.

Memories triggered by scent have a stronger emotional connection than those triggered by other human senses.

When I was a little girl there was a Wonder bread bakery about six blocks away. We would wake up to the smell of fresh bread. Over the years the smell wasn’t as strong because of all the cars exhaust and other shops that cooked food. But occasionally we would get a whiff of fresh bread baking. Until they closed their doors a few years ago. Though I had already moved from the area.
