“Blogger in a Strange Land”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Blogger in a Strange Land.”

What’s the strangest place from which you’ve posted to your blog? When was the last time you were out and about, and suddenly thought, “I need to write about this!”

I spend lots of time at numerous beach front locations overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, beautiful sunny skies, sounds of the ocean, birds chirping during the early mornings, the movement of tourists, exercise enthusiast and retirees.

Many of my WordPress Prompts are inspired on the causeway leading to Sanibel Island, a pavilion on Fort Myers beach, and Whites Pier in Key West Florida. After an afternoon summer storm, when the clouds began to separate and begin drying the beach front areas, I was stimulated to write, “What to do in Retirement” in August of 2014.

I escape the afternoon heat and the occasional thunderstorms by visiting my local library, Starbucks and a Denny’s restaurant for a cheese sandwich. These indoor locations offer excellent people watching an inspiration to write.
