In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Dear Mom.”
Write a letter to your mom. Tell her something you’ve always wanted to say, but haven’t been able to.
My mother died several years ago, but, yet I have two sisters and several aunts who have taken up the mantel of “Mother.” They checked in on me from to time to time and reminded of my job, always be a gentleman.
I have called and written emails to my mothers’ advising them of my Aspiring Writers “WordPress” site. As of this date, only one has ventured into the land of reading my blogs or comment on my writings.
I believe some of my mother’s find accessing their computers a little intimidating for reading blogs. Yet, using the computer to play online games like “Candy Crush” provides more entertainment.
I have come up with a plan, to encourage reading within my family and that will be the handwritten letter, mailed with a stamp. Since most of my mature relatives have yet to master the use of email or “Facebook.” I’m looking forward to reading some interesting letters.
The only other options they have in their communications arsenal is the telephone. I know in the end I will receive a phone call from all, in response to my letters.
But, just in case, I love you, moms!
