In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Well, I Never….”

Tell us about something you’ve done that you would advise a friend never to do.

The Well, I will never do again moments in life usually involve the combination of the following list. Alcohol consumption, the lack of thought, the failure to properly prepare and the failure to read the instructions are just a few.

To create a “Well, I Will Never” to do list,” only comes from life’s experiences of mistakes, using poor judgement, or failure to read the instructions.

My, “Well, I Will Never” do list,” is filled with lessons of learning yet without most of these indiscretions, I would not be the great person I am today.

In my opinion, it is somewhat preferable to commit small mistakes to have the experiences of failure to prepare for life’s next bump in the road.

However, I have provided my adult children with the following piece of advice.

If you are by yourself, with friends, consuming alcohol, or reading the instruction to construct something. Be aware of words or thoughts in the form of “Should I or we” “Could I or we” is heard or mentioned. These are clues to ask the following questions?

Will I get in trouble with the police?

Will my parents, spouse, or significant other approve or be embarrassed?

Will I lose my job, and most importantly, will it hurt?

If you answer these questions you will easily develop and discover your own, “Well, I Will Never” do list,
