In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Lucky Star.”

Unknown

My three wishes are similar to my prayers.

1) I wish for great health for me as well for my family and friends.

2) I wish for a successful career as a writer, photographer, and painter.

3) I wish for the world to be more tolerant of religion, race, and sexual orientation.

However,

My lucky star
is knowing I’m
blessed, fortunate, and lucky every morning,
my heart is beating, my eyes open
&
I’m able to rise to greet another day.

  4. It’s a blessing and a gift to wake up to a new day. Sometimes we wake up with the worries of yesterday’s unfinished task and forget to celebrate the gift of being able to move our legs, hands and other body parts.
