Weekly Photo Challenge: Beneath Your Feet

Published by

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Beneath Your Feet.”

Experiment with your angle: stand as you snap your picture or get close to the floor. You don’t need to include your feet, as I’ve done in the photo above. Consider all kinds of settings and surfaces, from interesting textures and patterns to sidewalk or exhibition art. Think about the details you will include (and leave out) in your frame, too.

This photo was taken by sitting the camera on the concrete just in front of my foot. The photo was taken in Key West Florida’s Mallory Square. With several events taking place this weekend, I will add to this weekly challenge with more photos from this angle.

Excellent advice! I’v found so much of the art of photography is about being able to first wonder what something might look like from an angle that to us two-feeted-walking people goes often unnoticed. Well done.

I’m heading back to the area to gather some more angles along the waterfront. Thanks for the comments and noticing.

I sat the camera on the ground and used the view screen that pivoted up for me to capture the photo.
