“Que Sera Sera”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Que Sera Sera.”

Do you believe in fate or do you believe you can control your destiny?

Living fifty years upon this planet and experiencing several life or death circumstances, I understand, appreciate and believe in fate.

Here today gone tomorrow, live each day as it was your last, and my favorite, waking up breathing, eyes blinking to see another day, is the best part of any day.

These quotes that inspire me to appreciate any given moment horrible things can take place even with the best-laid plans.

However, within every minute, hour and day, something great can happen. Noticing a beautiful sunrise or sunset, listening to the birds chirping, and turning off all electronics. Enjoying the sounds of thunder, instead of becoming upset when the weather hampers traffic.

These are all moment of silence, and yet most people are afraid of silence. Imagine our ancestors of 100 years ago who had neither television or radio, and it should be easy to accept and appreciate several moments of silence.

Worrying about life issues that cannot be physically controlled applies to the saying, “Whatever will be, will be, the futures, not ours to see, Que, Sera, Sera.”

P.S.: Now enjoy a moment of silence.
