In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Grid.”
I often superimpose a mental grid over my view screen to help with composition, layout and centering of the photo. This week, I used the available grids to square my morning photos.
The foot and bicycle tracks breaks the symmetry of the surrounding rails. I lowered the tripod increasing the impact the rails.

A brilliant photo series for certain. I echo the comments of everyone … the luminescence of the wet bicycle tracks and footprints transform this from a great and beautiful photo series into one which is priceless. Deserves to be in a cycling travel magazine. Great capture and a great example of the role of perspective in photos. Thanks for the kind words as well on our similar use interpretation of a “grid” … yours are more stunning though. 🙂
