The invention of words is something my mother did not allow in her home. My sister and I challenged this rule from time to time using the word, “Whatchamacallit.”

As a child, I used the word “Whatchamacallit,” to identify unknown food items, and anything else.

Once when my mother asked me where was, my younger sister, I quickly responded saying, “she is outside on the Whatchamacallit” (aka the Swing-set).

Between the moment of silence and the quick hit, I took to my backside, I realized, I responded incorrectly with the word “Whatchamacallit.”

Ten-plus years into the future the candy bar, “Whatchamacallit,” was introduced in 1978. I bought one at the grocery store and planned to eat it for dessert after dinner. When dinner was finished and I began eating my candy bar.

My mother asked what, I was  eating. I responded with a “whatchamacallit.” My mother gave me an angry eye, as I showed her the candy wrapper. I laughed, and she just shook her head in amazement.

So for today’s post, the word “Flangipropt,” will be the antonym for the word “Whatchamacallit”
