“Too Soon”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Too Soon?.”

Can anything be funny, or are some things off limits?

The term “Too Soon” is based on the individual comedic person and their ability to handle a room fill with customers who want to laugh.

No subject or issue is too soon if the comedian utilizes their skills in various formats to bring laughter.

However, since everyone collectively will not be accepting of jokes directly criticizing race, weight, sex or any current event the public comments about on social media.

Comedians develop their skills to joke about any issues that are usually spoken of in private and alone with a trusted a friend.

A gifted comedian utilizes their abilities of creativity, improvisation, facial expression, voices, and physical humor to initiate laughter.

However, there is only one way to discover if it is “Too Soon” for a joke to be used and that is by trying the joke, with a live audience.

The audience response will determine if it is “Too Soon.” 🙂

    There’s an old comedic rule that comedy equals tragedy plus time. How much time and who delivers the comedy is critical.
