In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “1984.”

You’re locked in a room with your greatest fear. Describe what’s in the room.

Oh yes, 1984, brings to mind the dystopian novel by George Orwell.

If I’m sitting in a locked room, my fear immediately is to consider the thought police, have I been discovered. I know the ministry of truth has been seeking my kind for decades.

The omnipresent government surveillance with the public manipulation of Newspeak by the Ministry of Truth, with the all-encompassing Big Brother eye.

Yet, as I sit locked in a room, which is possibly room 101 with a memory hole.

What is my greatest fear?

It is November and the second day of the National Novel Writing Month and I should be writing. 🙂
