Climate Control

The idea that the weather and people’s moods are connected is quite old. Do you agree? If yes, how does the weather affect your mood?

Last month was filled with lots of daily writing to include my participation with the National Novel Writing Month, my online modern poetry class and the eight posting for this blog.

I’m proud to say I finished with just over 50,000 words for my novel and I learned a lot about myself as a writer.

Climate wise the weather cooperated very well, last month and I wrote from several locations along the Gulf Coast beaches. Hence the photo above!

I do agree the climate and weather can affect how I approach the day ahead. Twice last month, I awoke to see an overcast cloudy day and I quickly began writing.

When rain began to fall, I felt I was in my cave of writing. I ended a couple of days with over five thousand words.

There were other days I settled in at the beach and easily amassed two or three thousand words.

So, yes the climate really affects my mood for writing helping me achieve my certificate as a NaNoWriMo winner.

PS: Oh yes, “I’m Back!”
