“Pick Your Gadget”

Your local electronics store has just started selling time machines, anywhere doors, and invisibility helmets. You can only afford one. Which of these do you buy, and why?

This prompt provides fantastic choices. At my advanced age, I have developed a lot of wisdom, and I would not purchase any of the three.

However, forty years ago, as a teenager, I would have enjoyed an “invisibility helmet.” I would have wrecked havoc in my community. But, since I was a cool teenager, I wanted to be seen.

Although, thirty years ago, a “time machine” is something I would have enjoyed. But, after watching several motion pictures about time travel, like the “Back to the Future” movie series.
I realized changing anything in the past can affect my current or future timeline. So, as a clumsy guy, I figured I better not mess with my past.

Now the “anywhere doors,” are something I could use to open a door to view my adult children’s Christmas mornings. However, since I have photos and video of those Christmas mornings, I would not make that purchase.

Wisdom has taught me that moving forward in life experiencing and learning as much as possible provide’s the best opportunity for a fulfilling life.

Plus, a photo and video camera are the only gadgets I use to record current events to view at a later date about my past.
