“Money for Nothing”

If you’re like most of us, you need to earn money by working for a living. Describe your ultimate job. If you ‘re in your dream job, tell us all about it and what is it that you love? What fulfills you? If you ‘re not in your dream job, describe for us what your ultimate job would be.

My career before retirement fulfilled my life and satisfied my passions to learn, and teach while helping others. I always appreciated my ability to witness the progress and results of my hard work.

I have achieved my current passions in retirement which is satisfying and fulfilling beyond all I dreamed or imagined.

I have a nomadic travel lifestyle based on a foundation of my passions for driving and travel. Many times I have traveled across the US, by car, motorcycle, plane, train, and tractor. These experiences fed and inspired my dreams of travel. I once flew by plane nine-hundred miles to drive my brother two thousand miles round trip. What he thought was strangely unique, I found passionately exhilarating.

My ultimate dream job is to become an accredited and certified sailing captain who flies to locations around the world to return small sailing vessels to a port when the owner cannot. This would allow me to continue my passions for writing, reading and photography.

Payment for any job is essential, however, if you have a career or job that satisfies your passions for your life, then you are experiencing your ultimate dream job.  🙂

One day I wish that I can live a nomadic lifestyle as well. The little bit of traveling I’ve done so far has shaped who I am today and my passions for writing.

I’m so glad I did so much of my exotic travels in my twenties..I don’t think I would be capable of traveling now the way I did then. Now I love to live in different places rather than constant traveling. You are so right to follow your dreams, Nomad.

Hey Judy, I considering longer stays in places I travel to, by participating in writer retreats in Europe and Southeast Asia.

That sounds so great, Nomad. I like to “do” things when I travel. One reason I tend to stay in one spot. Where in Southeast Asia? I hope it is Bali! Loved it there in ’73 and ’96. lots of changes in between. Tell me about your writer retreats when you have the time. I’m having one here at the beach.
