Good, afternoon I’m the eldest brother who is six years older than my sister Erin, aka “Baby Princess.” I gave her that name since our father spoiled her immensely. I believe our parents spaced us out making me the supreme babysitter extraordinaire for many years.

At age fifteen, I took a part-time job after school as a lifeguard at the country club in our community. During the summer the job went full-time, and my babysitting duties were finally turned over to my brother David who was 13 at the time.

Our parent’s marriage is a success because they enjoyed a mandatory once or twice a month date night on Saturday’s” sometimes pressing me into my former babysitting duties of my sister who was 10-years of age at the time. David was out with his Boy Scout Troop for their yearly summer camp excursion.

So after mom and dad left, I sat on the couch next to Erin watching Dora the Explorer. Suddenly she jumped from the sofa running towards her bedroom. When she returned, she had with her several of her dolls.

She sat next to me with her dolls on her lap, one in between she and I and another on her other side. I asked whats with all of the baby dolls. She said. I’m practicing to become a babysitter like you, Erick. You know I’m copycatting you.

I laughed and gave her and all the baby dolls a hug.

From that day, I knew my little sister would always make a great wife to a lucky young man.

Fifteen years after babysitting my little sister, aka “Baby Princes” who married a man today our parents, my brother and I gave formal approval of this afternoon.

So, let’s stand, and all raise a glass of champagne in toasting the happy couple too many successful years of copycatting.
