The structure of nature can sometimes have no structure at all. The Bonneville Salt Flats white sands are a living sight to witness. The white sands distinguish no structure, only a blindness of white.

The smoky haze from western fires dims the mountain’s outline leaving a blindness of white as far as the eye can see. Only the distant sound of tires screaming along the asphalt on interstate-80 defines your location in the silence of white sand.

Adding a vehicle provides structure to the blindness of white sands.
