Finally, with the end of 2017, the entire world is looking forward to 2018 with incredible optimism.

Many people around the world will begin new healthy and personal habits in a new year, so if you find yourself behind on new habit changes, as the weeks and months of the new year progresses there are several types of calendars to choose from if you want to start over.

The Julian calendar above was proposed by Julius Caesar by edict in 45 BC that took effect on January 1st. This was used as the predominant calendar in the Roman world, most of Europe, in European settlements in the Americas and elsewhere, until it was refined and gradually replaced by the Gregorian calendar, in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII.

The Gregorian calendar has the same months and month lengths as the Julian calendar, but, the Gregorian calendar, years are evenly divisible by 100, not including leap years, except the years are evenly divisible by 400 in the remaining leap years. However, the Julian calendar is 13 days behind the Gregorian calendar so you can always start over with the change of a calendar.

The lunar calendar provides quite a few opportunities throughout the months of 2018 depending if you start on a full, quarter, or new moons during each month and January and March have a bonus of two full moons.

At any time during the year you wained in your efforts and stumble into February, you can use the Chinese calendar above with its New Year celebration beginning Friday, February 16, 2018, and use March 1st as a full moon backup start date.

As the year progresses, the fact is that every day is a new day of hope and happiness when your eyes open, and you are breathing because life is alive and surrounds us all.

It is also important to remember that change is a form of evolution, so take your time as there will be some pitfalls along the way, but more importantly, enjoy 2018 with all that life has to offer you.
