Every day since forever, I have seen you, and we are identical twins.
I look into your eyes, and I see the mirror image of me.
I have seen pictures of you, and you look like me.
Your cheekbones, lips, eyebrows, and chin are all like mine.
We are identical twins?
As far back as I can remember, I dreamed of a brother or sister. Yet, when we played in the park, I would cry because the children from the playground could not come live with us.
Since our 29th birthday, I have recognized and honored the death of our parents by taking our photograph.
It’s been thirteen years since we began the annual ritual and now I look at you my identical twin and wonder where all of our time has gone?
I am now married with kids of my own, who are not the single child.
Today I welcome our third child, which has me reminiscing about our childhood, of a time past ever since we first met.
It has been every day since forever, I have seen you but, I no longer need you my mirrored identical twin.
