“Places in the World.” (poetry)

There are many places in the world, but none compare to traveling to witness vistas, landscapes, and wildlife. My current place on this planet is the above photos inside Bluewater Lake State Park in Prewitt, NM campgrounds. At over 7000ft above sea level, my current vistas are spectacular, from sunup to sundown. The night sky fills with millions if not billions of stars across the night sky providing a glorious sight for the eyes.

The following photos reveal several of my most unique places on our planet.

The White Sands National Monument located in the northern Chihuahuan Desert in the state of New Mexico provides dramatic landscape of rare white gypsum sand dunes that seem to travel for ever when viewed against a blue sky.

A special place can be enhanced with a sunrise, sunset, or a beautiful full moon setting before dawn. The City of Rocks State Park located in, Faywood, NM is famous for its large sculptured rock formations in the shapes of pinnacles or boulders rising as high as 40 feet. The rocks provide prfect coves for campground sites which were designed within the pinnacles and boulders allowing for these dramatic photos.

I have discovered many special places upon our planet like the the Gila Nationa Forest in NM, the beaches along the Floirda Keys, sunsets from downtown Fort Myers Florida, to the setting skies north of Las Crusces NM. One, thing I know for sure is I will revisit these locations and many others during my lifetime. 🙂
