The Florida Everglades sunrises are so gorgeous the visual sights easily invigorate me to hike around with a camera capturing the beauty of a sunrise and the birds of the morning.
I was fortunate to capture a Red Tail Hawks nest and later photographing the Hawk seeking a morning meal.
I heard the Red-bellied Woodpecker pecking away most of the morning and finally captured the photo during a break. The medium-sized woodpecker is part of the family of Picidae. It breeds mainly in the eastern United States, ranging as far south as Texas and as far north as Canada.
This Great Blue Heron used its quiet stealth near the water long before it stood for its photo.
These photos were taking a short walk from the Monument Lake Campgrounds along the Tamiami Trail, route 41 within the Big Cypress National Preserve.
No morning walk where there is water nearby would be complete without the presence of a ubiquitous alligator lurking in the water calmly waiting for any opportunity for a meal.
Inside the campground is a pole with several bird habitats for nesting, and they are a lively group in the morning.
With so much to see and experience, it’s the perfect morning for me. š
