Yuma AZ BLM Near VFW on Route 95

Between 9:00 and 10:00 pm on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2022, I had settled in front of a roaring campfire in the Southern Arizona desert under overcast skies with visible stars sparkling above, with the hours counting to the end of 2022.

However, by 11:15 pm, my dark rum and ginger beer drink was finished, and sleepiness began easing into my consciousness. I poured water on the campfire and went to bed.

My 2022 New Year’s Eve had ended similarly to previous years, with me listening to rhythm and Blues music as I reminisced about years past.

But as I write and edit this piece, the clouds above have brought forth rain, giving way to a bright sunny afternoon on the first day of 2023.

So, happy new year to all. I wish everyone’s dreams, desires, and expectations to become a reality in 2023 and beyond.
