“Easy Fix”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Easy Fix.”

Write a post about any topic you wish, but make sure it ends with “And all was right in the world.”

EBook’s and the nostalgia for a book

I know it has been a while since I posted but, I was reading a couple of intriguing and captivating novels that I couldn’t put down except for personal breaks, and then all was right in my reading world.

I actually read through this prompt over a week ago and the creative idea of what to write became clear, although, the novel, “The Invisible Man” by Ralph Ellison, beckon me to return. For a moment, I anguished between returning to reading or continue creating a response to the prompt.

Since today is February 1, and the prompts date is the 23 of January, it is obvious the book won, the battle for the next several days. I understand and realize that I’m weak when a tantalizing and compelling novel has control of my life.

However, today as I type, I realize the decision was so easy, and this retirement lifestyle really suits me as all was right in the world.

  1. Incidentally, this happens to be one of the oft-repeated phrases in the books and stories of the inimitable P G Wodehouse, a favourite author of mine!
