In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Proud.”

When was the last time someone told you they were proud of you?

On July 31, 2015, I completed my participation in the month-long Camp National Novel Writing Month “aka CampNaNoWriMo” I finished my first short novel, and the experience was enjoyable.

When I validated my word count and uploaded my certificate of participation, I threw my arms into the air and yelled, Yes!
I received congratulatory comments from my online cabinmates, and I thanked them immensely for recognizing my completion.

I’’m proud of myself for dedicating the time to outline a story idea, develop characters and their personalities. I’m currently revising, editing and looking forward to sending an email of my novel to an editor.

I’m never expecting an acknowledgment from anyone when I have planned to accomplish a task, I begin.

  8. Way to go!!!! I have seen that challenge around, and I have considered trying to finish my novel. First, though, I need to get it all on to the computer. I only have it on hard copy. I started writing it back in 1984. I hope I can get that done when by the time it comes around next time.
